Group Opportunities

Our group opportunites give you a chance to meet and fellowship with other Woodland members and families.  We have activities for all age groups.

Children
  • The nursery is provided for infants through 24 months for all of our services.
  • Sunday School - ages 3 years through 6th grades have classes available to them at the 9:30 am and 10:30 am hours on the Education Wing.
  • Children's Church - Rev. Cory Smith gathers the children in the 10:30 am service for a short lesson before dismissing those aged 3-K5 for Children's Church.  Volunteers continue the teaching in the Education Wing until the parents pick up after service.
  • Wednesday Night provides classes for school age children after supper at 7 pm.  The children watch skits, make crafts, and participate in projects while learning more about God.
  • JOY Children's Choir is led by Teresa Seevers and perform the congregation for holidays and other special events.  The choir is for children ages 3 through 6th grade.
  • Vacation Bible School - join us this summer for a fabulous new theme that gets our children excited to learn about God.  Our VBS program runs for one week and is held at night.
  • Wonderful Wednesdays - a program offered during the summer where children meet each Wednesday for a day trip or activity.

Youth
  • Contemporary Worship - many of our youth attend and participate in the Contemporary Service in our Life Center at 9:30 am.  Some of the youth are members of the Praise Band which performs at this service.
  • Sunday School - classes are offered at both the 9:30 am and 10:30 am hours off the hall outside the Life Center.
  • Wednesday Night provides a casual class led by Caty Jane Turnipseed, our youth leader.  This class meets after supper at 7 pm in the youth room.
  • Other activities are also offered to the youth, such as mission opportunities, retreats, scavenger hunts, and paintball.  This is a growing group and they would love to welcome you to join them!

Adults

  • Prime Time- this group of middle-age to senior adults meets the 3rd Thursday of each month.
  • Leftovers- this group lives up to its name....it is made up of those who weren't in any other supper club!
  • 3N1- this relativley new group mixes all ages into a rotating supper club.  Three groups are formed each year with the members rotating in and out until everyone has had a chance to mingle with each member.  A large social is planned at the end of the year for the entire group.
